boohoo
ParticipantWashing machine died last night and I think it’s time for a half-decent replacement.
While looking at info about the ISE 5 and ISE 10, I came across some info sheets for the ISE 2 — £250, 2 yr guarantee.
Does anybody know about this? Is it made by the same supplier in Sweden to similarly high spec, I wonder?

No it’s not.
ISE is about lifespan which is determined by a combination of build quality and repairability as well as many other factors including spares costs.
The price of the machine, in each range, is determined by these factors.
ISE2 is a budget range machine and is made by a different factory to both ISE5 and ISE10 which are also both manufactured in different factories in different countries.

Thanks, that does help. I suspected as much.
£250 for a machine with a 2yr guarantee is pretty good value, though, compared to the other stuff around at this price. Particularly if designed with easier repairs in mind.
I’m tempted by the ISE 10 but I’m not sure my bank balance can take the hit.
Does anyone have an ISE 2? How are you finding it? That control dial looks a little crazy…

Well there you go boohoo, you said it yourself…..pretty good value it certainly is. 🙂

Early days yet as it’s a brand new product, a brand new concept and backed by all that is good about any of the ISE products to benefit you the consumer…enjoy! 😉

HI boohoo,
The ISE2 is good value and it is a budget machine so it loses a lot of features to both ISE5 and 10.
It is designed to be repairable with (although obviously there’s no history yet) 80{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}+ of repairs carried out from the front. But all the ISE machines are designed to be repairable as it is essential since it goes a long way towards extending the life of any machine. As does keeping the cost of spares down and these principals apply to the ISE2 as much as it does the others.
ISE2 has only been launched to the trade thus far and, has proved more popular than we had expected, as has ISE10, both have taken us by surprise if the truth be told and so ISE2 is only available through the dealer network for the moment. I very much doubt that they will be sold online this side of Christmas if ever.
The dial is actually very simple to use and groups programs by laundry types which makes is simple enough to use.
All in all it’s a nice little budget machine which is pretty quiet, does the job and that’s about all that you want or can expect from a machine at this price I reckon and easily as good I’d say as anything else in the bracket.
The ISE5, better in performance and features with a lot more flexibility on what you can do as well as the longer warranty.
The ISE10, well, that’s still the one I’d save my pennies for. 😉

Thanks for that info.
Will have a chat with the wife and see whether we can persuade ourselves to go for the ISE 10!
Oh, the online price you have here is £750 delivered. But our local guy says £800. Different specs or just different price for the same machine!?

The one shown online at the moment is the ISE10 1406W and is a special price on the 1400 machines that were incorrect, they should have been 1600rpm and is a limited offer until they run out.
The ISE10 1606W should appear online this week again.

Well, I’ve taken the plunge and forked out for the ISE 10.
It’s madness, I tell you!
No info on delivery times as yet – just says 2 to 5 days. Presumably there’ll be some kind of follow up to sort this out?
