ISE 5-2 Bearing kit?

Please confirm that I am not going senile. :clown:

I need a complete bearing kit for an ISE 5-2 Vestel machine. The 1600 spin, 3 phase motor job.

I keep being told that THIS is the correct bearing kit.

I am adamant that that kit is for the ISE2 only, the kit for the ISE 5-2 has much bigger bearings and seal and AFAIK has never been listed in the STORE.

Funny thing is I have had a least five sets of the correct beaings in the past. 😕

I think I am finally getting somewhere. 😉

Only ever had one set fail on the ISE2 and have two or three times as many as the ISE 5-2 on my patch, have changed far more in the ISE 5-2’s.

AAAAARRRRGGGGHHHHH.

Bearing kit arrived just now and guess what, I have been sent an ISE2 Vestel bearing kit, not the ISE 5-2Vestel. kit as requested.

I have only ever used one set of bearings for an ISE 2 but have used at least 5 for the ISE 5-2 the bearings for which are much bigger than these as is the seal.

I have been sent the previous five sets of bearings from ISE spares so am at a complete loss as to why I am having this problem. :rolls:

TBH I think that this kit is flawed as well, it has what appear to be the correct bearings for an ISE-2 but I am sure it is the wrong water seal, it is too big for an ISE-2 and too small for an ISE 5-2.

As I mentioned I have only done one set of bearings on a Vestel ISE-2 I had that stripped down in the customers kitchen only to find it had the wrong water seal, I was sent the correct seal a couple of days later.

The seal that has come with this kit is the same as the one on the left in attached picture of two seals. The seal on the right is the old, correct ISE-2 seal, as you can see it’s central diameter is smaller.

The other picture shows the bearing kit I have just been sent. The correct ISE5-2 bearings have a rear bearing about the size of the large one in the picture and an even bigger main bearing and seal.

Jim can you send me the numbers of the bearings and the seal ,I have an amazing bearing and seal company near me ,I may be able to source them and then Ken can owe me

Sorry Lawrence I don’t have the bearing sizes as I have not yet stripped the machine down.

That small bearing in the picture is way too small for an ISE5-2.

As I have mentioned already I have been supplied with the correct kit at least five times already over the past four years. The seal in the kit may be correct for an ISE 5-2 ( hard to say if you don’t have the old one in your hand) but the bearings are most definitely not. If it comes to it I may have to go and strip the machine down first which will be a real pain,and look rather unprofessional to say the least. 🙁
