    Hi
Our 22 year old hoover 1100 computer has just about had it. Every engineer who has seen it says “”they do not make them like this any more hang on to it as long as you can” We fancy the entry level meile or the ISE 5 we are pensioners and do not have loads and loads of washing, has the ISE 5 got comparable build quality with our old machine -It certainly has a better specification. I dont think the ISE 10 is within our financial range!! (nor do I think we need to spend this much) although it seems a great washer.

    Advice please

    Re: ISE 5

The ISE 5 is a very well specified machine with the big advantage over the entry level Miele of having a full five year parts & labour warranty, service by your local engineer and parts at cost price after the warranty expires.

Miele are very good machines but have very restrictive servicing practises and horrendous parts prices.

    Re: ISE 5

As a stockist of ISE Appliances for the last couple of years the ISE range is as good as any of the main contenders but has many other advantages such as local based service by people who are not only familair with the ISE products but also their customers.

As regards build quality versus your trusty Hoover 1100 I would say that its very robust and well made. No Metal tanks to rust on the ISE 5 and its also nice and quiet in operation. Energy is another area were the ISE 5 will win over the old style appliances as its a triple A machine ( AAA )

With the addition of a 5 year parts and labour guarantee and the backup of a local service solution you would not have to worry about remote service being a problem, much better to be able to speak directly with a human who understands your problem rather than calling automated answering systems where your on hold for ages and then wait weeks for a engineer to arrive.

I would advise that you check the http://www.iseappliances.co.uk to see who is your nearest agent and then pop along and take a look for yourself.
    Good Luck

    Re: ISE 5

We were lent an ISE5 whilst waiting for our ISE10 to arrive. I found it to be a great machine and would have been sorry to see it go if it wasn’t for the incoming ISE10. To be honest the availability of local support and the inclusive parts and labour warranty swung it for us, together with cheaper parts once the machine is out of warranty. I don’t want to be putting any more machines into landfill.
