As has been noticed by a couple of people, first by Steve I think if memory serves me, when you install an AW23 you have to make sure that the water pressure isn’t too high.

Basically it looks to me as if the soap dispenser on the AW23 has been set up to take hot and cold fill for some versions not sold in the UK. This is why (as shown) there is an extra connection left unconnected to anything on the back of the soap drawer compartment.

What happens is that, when the incoming water pressure is a little on the high side, the conveyer at the top can’t handle it and water comes out that connector as, it’s not capped or blocked in any way.

The water proceeds to run down the side of the tank and onto the suspension leg. Over time, usually a couple of months or so, the leg corrodes to the point where it either causes a noise issue or, it just breaks allowing the inner tank unit to fall off to one side.

I have alerted the factory to this and hopefully they will come up with a permanent solution to the problem but all current stock inbound and out in the field could, potentially, have this fault when the water pressure is too high.
