ParticipantHas anybody came across the problem with the two programme knobs on this machine the spin setting knob was stuck solid and the programme knob had come off.
When i took the spin knob off i noticed the plastic bit that fits in the pcb had a ball end which doesnt sit firmly in place which is causing it to become stiff, on most other machines there is an arch fitting. The programme knob was fine which did have the arch fitting which means the fit is perfect so no problems putting that back on.
But the spin knob is working again but i am still not happy with the fit anybody had the same problem.
Cheers john 😕

Are you an ISE agent John? There are dedicated forums for ISE machines.
All of these machines are still covered by 5 year parts warranty at the very least, most have full five year parts and labour cover. 😉

The only knob problems I’ve had with the CI555 is grease accumulation – pop the knob off, clean knob and fascia thoroughly, pop it back on and tell customer off.

yes i am an ise agent how do i log on the ise forum?
There was no grease or dirt in fact the machine looks brand new considering it was bought in 2007 normally the slot in pcb has grooves so that the pin for the knob can only fit one way this is why the pin on the spin knob is round with a slight shamfer on but the pin has to much movement causing it to jam if the pin was the same as the programme knob this wouldn’t happen.

You should be able to view both of the ISE forums, if not then send a PM to Kenneth Watts and he will sort it for you.
TBH, I have only had this fault once and it was all gunged up as well.
Jim.
