Just back from a 2 that according to the customer

seen smoke and a electrical smell
I got customer to put machine on and i arrived after one and half hours to find NO smell and smoke, but i did hear the motor arcing (sp)i then went onto inspect motor and found it fine.
Any suggestions as customer would like some answers.

customer also asked why her daughters sock was stuck in the door seal as her old machine did not do that,i suggested overloading but that did not go down well.

    Hi Dave,

Smell of burning, no idea as we’ve not had one do that, ever. If you can’t find anything up with it then it could be problem 2.

If overloaded then clothing would be forced between the tub and seal and that would give you a burning smell and smoke. and, when you tell customers about overloading they NEVER do it but invariably know someone that does! :rolls:

It’s just one sock and it just sit’s there,so i think one sock could not cause this.

Probably not, but what forced the sock there could.
