Andy, all modern machines are the same pretty much as the wash programs are determined by the HLCC Council (http://www.care-labelling.co.uk) on a pan European basis so, if ISE is wrong, then they’re all wrong for you.
And, these do change over time.

Then I think you should, if you are to contribute further, so just take a look HERE……and it’s cold fill by the way!Look for the obvious things first Martin no matter what the machine is……….Had this on a Bosch 2 weeks ago; that was all!-Tap was a blue lever= cold but was hot running through the pipe! Thank you for sharing the info on the ISE- bit elaborate to wash clothes is it not? May be a bit too clever for its own good.
I think Andyjawa’s suggestion was a constructive response and the fact the machine is cold fill only has no relevence to the fact that it may be connected to the hot water – worth checking at any rate. I am sure the original poster can tell us if their washing is coming out hot at the end of the cycle or not- a sure sign of hot water fill.January 15, 2013 at 2:02 pm #387673Manhattan24

The machine is attached to the blue cold tap. I think that if there was a hot water feed into the machine the nearby boiler would have kicked in.
Just doing a synthetic wash now, fingers crossed none of the jumpers shrink.

You would easily realise if it WERE connected to a hot supply as your washing would come out HOT and the end of each cycle!

If it’s a combi boiler or suchlike then yes, it likely would.
It’s easy enough to check.
If the wash is okay and it’s not overheating on any other program then, the odds are hugely in favour of there being nothing wrong with the machine. Which to be honest, I don’t think that there is or will be from the sound of it.
What the machine cannot do is differentiate between different garments other than by way of user input, in other words, by the program that is selected. Then it simply does as it has been instructed.
The odds however of a garment being faulty, wrongly labelled or the detergent used, dose incorrect etc are significantly higher in my experience. The point being, it’s not just the washing machine in play here but a number of factors that could cause or contribute to the issue.

Hi cheap clothes I find tend to shrink even more so in tumble dryer.I wash at 90 degree periodically for whites pet hate mine is an off white ,then these go mainly on 60 degree ,then I also do some darks periodically on 60 but mainly wash darks on 40 degree ,my bedding (sheets ,pillowcases, duvet covers) all goes through on its own on 60 degree.I don’t have a problem with shrinkage.
