    Hi,

I went out to this one and the reported fault was that they went to use it and it was completely dead (they did say that they had previously had issues with it switching on, although that was 3-4 months ago.
I checked it over and found that there was supply to the board, so I removed it and sent it to QER for repair. They sent it back saying it had been repaired, so I fitted the board and it all switched on, you could change the programme, but the door wouldn’t open and it wouldn’t start. I did a reset by holding the door open button and pressing the on/off switch and since then, the backlight of the display illuminates, but that is it. Am I missing something that I should or shouldn’t have done.

    Thanks
    Merv

The manual is on here, somewhere, for download but that is a very weird fault.

I saw the manual for the W256, which is very similar and there is also the parts diagram for it.

I never actually installed one of those later ECO models so never actually worked on them. The one real problem with the ISE 10 range was the fact that they were so reliable. It’s easy to build up a knowledge base of faults on less reliable appliances, not so with these. Not sure just how good QER are at successfully repairing the pcb’s either.:(

I’d agree that they were extremely reliable and I’ve repaired very few of them over the years.
I have emailed QER to see what they think. Am I correct in thinking that the control boards are no longer available?

Yeah, you can’t get the boards now so far as I know.
