Ise w288 eco filter insert broken

Hi

I have the above ISE washing machine. When opening the filter insert it broke. I can’t seem to attach picture – I will do that after posting this if that’s an help.

I have ordered a new one from your site. Please could you advise how to remove broken one.

Two choices.

Brute force and ignorance, hope it all turns out okay.

Get the whole pump out by pulling the machine out and get to it from the back after releasing the securing screws at the front (from memory), then take it apart from there, pump body off the back of the housing and so on.
