ISE10 installation

I’ve ordered an ISE10 from the website, and I got a call today saying that the delivery company will be here on Monday 😀 to install it. The very nice woman said they’d install it, but wasn’t clear whether the delivery guys would test and demonstrate it.

I have to admit to being a bit confused – i thought the installation was done by a local agent who would install, make sure not leaking etc and run through a demo

Wherever we can we will use a local agent but, sadly, that’s sometimes not possible and we have to use a delivery company. They are on the whole very good but, in my own personal opinion, not as good as many (most) of the agents.

There’s two basic reasons for having to do this and both involve time more than anything else. Stock being in the right place, i.e. a local agent has stock available and, usually people want the machines ASAP. Were we to deliver to an agent the re-deliver to a customer you’d add 2-4 days leadtime depending on the area and delivery schedules for trade deliveries.

OK – that makes sense. I was just wondering whether they could do the install, test and demo, or if they just attached the hose and were away

It depends on the delivery team TBH, many are really, really good but there’s the odd one that isn’t so brilliant.

The ISE machine is so well designed that you don’t really ‘need’ a demo – its incredicbly straightforward and gives you the ability ot adjust temp and spin for any type of wash cycle.

This explains most things.

I installed the machine myself as its just as case of attached the cold fill pipe / plug (or into blanked fcu socket) and the drain hose into a standpipe preferably rather than drain spigot.

If the delivery company will do it for you though then great !

Really is a great machine and have recently ‘persuaded’ the missus to move to Ariel powder than from the supermarket bargain stuff.
