ParticipantHi, I have an ise10 bought 9 years ago. Model number w1607w. Apart from replacing the pump a few years ago we haven’t had any problems with it. It’s been heavily used for the last 12 months as we have a baby in cloth nappies.
The last couple of washes with a full nappy load I’ve noticed the nappies are coming out very wet, and I can even twist some water out of them. Previously they’d be plastered around the outside of the drum from the fast spin, just slightly damp to the touch. I have run smaller loads (only about 1/3 full) and not noticed this. I don’t think I am overloading the drum as I’ve been washing this amount of nappies for months and I’m not tightly packing them in. I tried running a spin cycle on its own and it seemed to end before getting up to the maximum speed.
The cycle appears to finish as normal with no error codes.
I’ve checked the filter and there’s nothing stuck there. I can’t get the machine out on my own to check the hoses currently. I’m quite attached to my ise and we’re about to move house so I’d rather not have to buy a new washer right now!
Any help greatly appreciated!
Amy

ParticipantHave you checked the brushes? It could be those.

ModeratorNot very likely as it has a 3 phase motor.;)
What programme, spin speed settings are you using?

ParticipantIt’s on the “normal” cycle with 1600 spin speed. I’ve done two washes today of clothes and bedding and they seem to have washed normally, but on the colour/white setting, again at 1600. The nappies obviously are more absorbent though so more water to spin out and heavier when wet.

ModeratorHmm, I have the exact same machine. Set it to an empty spin at 1600 to test. Display shows 15 minutes. After a couple minutes doing slow pulse spins it then spins at 800 for a minute, then 1200 for 2 minutes then ramps up to full speed for about 3 to 4 minutes. It switches off with 4 or 5 minutes left on the display which is normal.
If the load was badly out of balance the machine should switch of with a row of dashes blinking in the display. Tbh it would be very hard to get a full load of nappies to go OOB.
Apart from double checking what spin speed light is illuminated when you start the programme I don’t have any further suggestions atm. Any problems with the drain cycle should also give an error message.

ParticipantThanks for the response. I’ll try to watch a spin cycle today and see what happens. I’ve heard it get a little out of balance with towels occasionally but it usually sorts itself out.
Only once have I had the error lines and the machine go off and that was a while ago. Never sounds unbalanced with the nappies as they are multiple small items compared to towels.
I’ll try running the wash on a different cycle as well and see if that makes any difference.Amy

ModeratorTake particular notice of what spin speed is set before you press the start button. Sometimes it will revert to a previous speed/temp setting .

ParticipantI always double check cos the baby fiddles with the buttons sometimes! I’ve run a few different cycles since, clothes and towels with no probs at 1600 and 1200. Nappies on the “heavy”cycle at 1600.
Put nappies on the normal cycle today and spun completely normally. So no idea what was going on but doesn’t seem to be happening now. I’ll keep an eye on it.Thanks for the suggestions and I’ll update if any further problems.
