ParticipantMy washer is about to break so need to get a new machine soon.
Seen these 2 machines ISE10 is £800 with 10yr warranty and the Maytag is £505 with 5yr warranty.

Not sure which to get as they both seem identical looks wise but the maytag is cheaper as they have newer models out now and its an older model but still exactly the same. THe button layouts are the same and I know that maytag and the ISE10 are both made by ASKO in Sweden.
Can anyone advise me on what you would do. £800 seems a lot to pay out for but you get the 10yr warranty but it seems your paying an extra £300 for an extended service contract if that makes any sense.

It looks similar. It isn’t the same machine. We have parts (on the off chance that it goes wrong) for a start and trained repairers (on the off chance that it goes wrong) as well.
They don’t, because they are owned by Whirlpool and are basically running a scam to stop Merloni (who own ASKO (who manufacture both appliances to specification)) selling a quality product in the UK. Given that ISE owes no allegiance to any of the parties involved, we just get on with selling a very superior product according to the ISE ethos.
Oh, the workings inside and the programming are radically different.
There are several threads about this in the forum, use the ‘Search’ facility – ‘ise AND maytag’ will bring them all up warts and all.

I would also like to know the answer to this, is the wash more vigorous and drum speed faster to complete the wash time quicker?
Does it tumble more times each way with shorter pauses between each tumble
Please can someone answer this question as inside the drum looks identical to the maytag also and the paddles are the same.
I am this close to buying the ISE10 just theres these questions that I need to ask for my own interest so I can build up the picture inside my head of why the ISE10 is the better choice etc.
The aftercare support is top notch I know but some people like to know whats going on inside also to say the ISE10 washes better than the maytag equivalent.
Im in leeds area and Penguin I know your the supplier as I spoke to your very friendly and helpful lady on the telephone today when enquiring prices etc.
Any information greatly appreciated.
