ParticipantHaving used an Asko in Australia I know how good these machines are. I now need to purchase one as we’re living in the UK. Both ISE and Maytag have what appears to be the same machine available here. Questions below;
Why is Asko shipping the same machine to both suppliers?
Apart from the 10 year parts and labour warranty from ISE, what are the differences if any?
Maytag now have the MAF2002AES, why does ISE not have this machine available?
Apologies for the bluntness, I’m a loyal Asko customer and don’t want to end up with an inferior product.
Thanks,
Alex

Hi DrT,
Asko build the ISE10 because we badgered and badgered for them to do so. 😉
The ISE10 is sort of unique in its specification in that we retain the simple controls, which people love, whilst getting the AAA performance and a brushless motor. There’s a few other differences as well but those are the main ones.
The design line range we have not been able to bring online, as well as the dishwasher, simply because we’ve run out of allocated production time for this year as the 10’s have proved so popular, far more so than had been anticipated if the truth be told. Hopefully we will see them coming online next year but it will most certainly not be by Easter ’09 I shouldn’t think.
If you buy an Asko built machine it’s not really possible to end up with an inferior product IMO regardless of which you choose. 😉

Thanks for the response K.
So what’s the best method to make the comparisons? Are the differences listed on the ISE website?
And can you recommend a retailer in the Harpenden area?

I am an ISE agent and cover Harpenden.
So if you decide on the ISE machine we can supply and install the machine.
Cheers.
