KeymasterThat is an open ended question ATM. 😕
Basically we’ve learned that there was some hassles with the PCB production which is what caused the initial delay, then we ran into the factory holiday closure and now John and I are going ape trying to get answers.
More news as soon as I get it but, as of right now, I do not have a firm delivery date.

KeymasterRe: ISE10…
We’ve gotten an answer this morning.
The machines will be delivered into the UK on week commencing 17th September, we’re not happy about it but there’s not much we can do about it. What follows is the reasons from Sweden.
ASKO wrote:A reason but not an excuse is that Sweden (suppliers) is on holiday/just arrived back from holiday. This should be changed now/within very soon.
The reason for indicated long lead time for orders is abnormal due to the fact that all our customers are currently changing models (in total 2500 p.o. – has never happened before) and the organisation inside factory has simply not managed to taken on new article numbers within normal lead time
Sorry folks but we’re well hacked off about it as much as anyone is. 🙁

Ah well, better late and right than early and wrong I suppose.
Do we have any photos/pictures of the beast available yet?

Yep, typical ASKO TBH as, in the same mail they stated quite clearly that they would not compromise the quality by using a sub-standard component supplier. I can’t really say fairer than that as I take the same attitude myself with many things, so fair play really. 🙂
Still annoying though. 😉

KeymasterRe: ISE10…
We got told this morning (sorry been a bit busy today :?) that the machines are made and that a truck was sent especially by ferry to pick them up and get them to the UK ASAP.
Of course Sean and I had nothing to do with this, we didn’t do anything and are completely innocent of any prodding of Asko. It is merely a coincidence that we were in Sweden and then it all got sorted out. :snigger:
They will be in warehouse, we’re told, at the very latest Wednesday of this week. As soon as we have them booked on the system we’ll confirm the pre-orders we have and start getting them out ASAP.

Received my First ISE10 today, and a very nice machine it is too.
I hadn’t realised that the spec had changed from what has been previously indicated on the site though ❓
eg..It is a 1400rpm spin machine (not 1600)
It is an AAB rated machine & not AAA.Mine came with a small dent in the front lower panel which I will have to ring David about.
Really like the machine & I think it should sell well.
Can’t wait for the ISE2’s to arrive as I have orders already

KeymasterI wasn’t aware of this Martin.
However, I can assure you, harsh words will be had on Monday morning.

Also Ken, I thought I heard mention at Sibson that the user manual would be a really nice bound folder type thing, but the one that has been included with my machine is not much different to the original ones that came with the ISE5 (black & white photocopied type job).
I would like to say that the wash/rinse/spin performance is absolutely brilliant and the 1400 spin speed is perfectly adequate – and proves (to me) that the program cycles of other machines taking over 2 hours for a 40c wash is just not at all necessary.

ParticipantHi Martin,
Before I responded I have been checking my documentation on ISE 10 and can confirm;
1. On April 16th 2007 I ordered 1600 spin AAA rated machines
2. In May 2007 we made a 30k downpayment to secure said order. If we have been delivered 1400 spin machines this is wrong and requires action and compensation for the people who have bought one.
Before I go off on one with the supplier we need to establish if it is the machine or user manual that is wrong.
In July we received the proofs for the manuals and they stated 1400 spin. We specifically queried this to ensure the factory were making the right machines. We were assured that the mauals were wrong and the machines were AAA.
This may well just be the manual,
I will post again when the picture is clearer.

John, I have just delivered and installed the ISE 10 which you very kindly bought all the way down to me on Friday(both me and my customer appreciate your efforts). However we do seem to have a problem. I would agree with Martin. the machine has 3 spin options…no spin…800…1400 and is clearly identified on the fascia as AA rated. this not what she was expecting from the information I had given her and indeed from the ISE website. It should be AAA rated & 1600 spin. Very impressed with machine quality and intuitive controls, but had problems with the very rigid inlet hose which did not want to wriggle through holes in sink unit. Perhaps the batch that were sent by road are the wrong spec. and the ones coming by sea are correct. I hope you can clear this up for us John and await your advice before invoicing my customer.

ParticipantHi All,
We have been delivered the wrong machine by Asko’s UK agent. There is a lot of finger pointing going on between the Factory and agent. Who’s fault it was is irrelevant to us, have proved what we ordered and they are working to put things right for us as a matter of urgency.
We will get the correct stock we hope by the end of the month.
There will be compensation for customers who have received lower specification machines than they ordered.
I will speak to all the affected agents individually on to sort out their own customers needs.
A big thank you to Martin for drawing our attention to this immediately before more people were affected.
Regards
John

ParticipantRe: ISE10…
I delivered my 1st ISE 10 last week. Still waiting for her to decide weather to keep the 1400 machine and save £100 or wait for the 1600 but I did ask her for feed back on machine. She is absolutely delighted but has one criticism. She is having trouble closing the inner door because of the movement of the drum and door as she tries to close it. I have to admit I did notice this when I installed it. Any advice I could pass on to her and future customers would be appreciated
RonOctober 21, 2007 at 2:07 pm #224638kwatt
KeymasterClose over, bit of a push and it’s okay Ron as the weight pushing back pretty much closes it. I’ve not had an issue.
