Customer originally reported what sounded like child lock being activated a couple of moths ago, thought it was sorted because I heard nothing back :rolls: , but they’ve continued to press the start and spin cancel switch to get the machine to start.
When I got there yesterday I had to do that to start a programme but apparently it hadn’t started for a couple of days. It then reverted back to no start but no spin light coming up when programme button pressed. Some kind of software fault in the board I’m presuming??

Is this an AW23, how did they come to be pressing the start & spin cancel buttons in the first place. 😕

    Strange.

Mmm, interesting. I have changed a few boards on these, every one for spin on wash faults.

Sounds like a variant of several recent PCB faults I’ve had – press Start and No Spin light comes on. Press No Spin to cancel and the light won’t go out…

It’s a dead simple machine – if the fault isn’t “logical”, it’s the PCB.

Turned out to be fabric conditioner getting onto the board through the dispenser/ fascia joint. Sealed it and put in a plastic barrier between board and facia.
