Only thing I can think on then is a bit of flash or the moulding itself of the drawer then. 😕

How did you go on with this one Steven ?
I went out to a Vestel-ISE 5 last week with the exact same complaint.
I had noticed a post from P45 mentioning moulding flashes causing this problem. There were no obvious moulding flashes on this one and when I tried the rinse aid dispenser under the tap it worked perfectly. the customer has just phoned to say it is still retaining water. 😥

No never got to the bottom of it despite loads of time trying.
Door lock and top pcb, replaced to no avail.
it would only happen on the final rinsing just before spin, the valve would spirt water for a fraction of a second enough to fill the conditioner but not quite enough to syphon.
The only thing i did not try was a pressure switch.
Its got to be some kind of glitch in the software allowing low voltage to the valves enough to operate them.
So you could start pressure switch?
Sean was trying to get some feed back from Vestel techincal on the subject, but have had no reply on that.
sorry I cant be of any more help.

I take it from that you actually witnessed it doing this spurting?
It sounds just like the fault I had on a couple of ISE-2’s from the same period, both cured with new door lock.
Very strange, I wonder if Sean or anyone else has come up with an answer, perhaps now that we no longer use Vestel they may not be as helpful as the should be. :rolls:

To come back to this Steven, what is the situation as regards your customer, has she been left to live with it or are you still waiting for a resolution from ISE Tech support?

Just had a phone call from an ISE 2 (Vestel) customer with the same complaint. 😕
Going to try a doorlock first on this one.

Customer putting up with it, until we find a cure.
The problem i have found with a few of the ise2 is with the valve stuttering on and off at the end of the spin programe just before the door light flashes, when it de engergises it stops. Sometimes door lock, on occasions found had to change pcb as well.

Going to try a doorlock first on this one.
Tried doorlock first and customer reported that it filled the rinse aid dispenser with water the very next wash. Returned and changed the PCB and touch wood, have heard nothing for three days now. 8)
Still playing around with the Vestel ISE 5 with same fault. 😥

If you’ve changed the lock, it more or less has to be the top board.

I fitted a new doorlock & top contol PCB to the ISE5 mk 2 Vestel machine on Monday, customer has not been back to me but I believe her husband has been on to ISE HQ since my visit. 😥
The new lock & PCB seem to have fixed the Vestel/ISE 2 with the same fault though.

KeymasterThing is, I have seen and heard of this happening on other brands as well. No definitive solution or cause for that matter, has ever been forthcoming.
The valve stutter thing is a good theory but, if when you swap out the PCB and valve and it doesn’t work where does that leave you?
Finding the cause is key.
