Try to select a program and just says end. If you press start button it displays 0:-n Couldn’t clear this so replaced pcb and bingo. Selects progs/starts/stops/resets fine.

Cust has called today and it’s done one wash and is now doing it again.

    Any ideas?

Not much help I’m afraid but I also had one showing 0:-n.

Still no idea how I fixed it but have not had a recall. 😕

    0:-n in display

I’ll have another play but as always with a job like this it’s a million billion miles away too and the customer is to stupid to help over the phone with button pressing and resetting! You know the type! “Which ones the start button” “It just says end” blah blah lolz

Ok so went back to look at this and after much (very) random button pressing.

Keeping a finger on start button it displays the 0:-n then after a few seconds flashes twice at which point if you turn it to off it then clears.

But had to do this a few times so i the guess time you take to do it is critical.

It goes like this if you try and select a program after the last program has finished if you don’t turn it back to off first. I refitted the old pcb and reset it so i’ll send the new one back as not needed.

Turns out the guy had lost his wife recently and she did all the washing. He thought when a program was done and it says END that if he wanted to run the program again he just pressed start. This is when it then displays 0:-n .

    Clear as mud?

Thats exactly what I found, surely someone must know if there is a recognised ‘total reset’ procedure for this machine?

I’ve not looked, we get very, very few problems with the 5-2. 😕

Have you looked on the tech stuff?

    What a good idea. :clown:

TBH they have been very reliable and I have only seen this once, as with the ISE CI555WH I asked about a few weeks back, its the damned childlock. :rolls:

As I stated on that one, I don’t know of a single customer that ever uses the Childlock feature so its not something you think of instantly, ( at least thats my excuse)
    😳
Also on some machines they actually flash a lock or a key symbol, some even flash ‘childlock’ in the display which is far more intuitive.

Just had a look in the user instruction booklet and on page 24 I found this.

    Child Lock
All ISE washing machines feature a child lock for safety purposes.
On the ISE2 series the child lock prevents children from making any changes to the program or settings whilst the machine is running.
Child lock is activated by pressing and holding the “Plus Rinse” button on the control panel for more than 3 sec. When child lock is activated the digital display will display the graphic (0:-n) as shown below:
    O:-n

In order to deactive child lock you again press and hold the “Plus Rinse” button again for more than 3 seconds. Deactivation of child lock is shown by blinking of the same graphic (0:-n) as shown above.
Once the program is completed the child lock remains active until you switch the feature off.

Child lock! The times i’ve fallen for those! Adult lock more like. Teach me to not look in the tech stuff eh. I’ll just skulk off and be rubbish some more 😳

Mind you i’m stumped by some customers baby gates!
