if you select spin programme, will it spin at whatever spin you set ❓ or does it only spin at 800 not 1600 ❓

It gets up to about 1200 max. when selecting spin on its own.

    |’ve never understood that – I always had a suspicion that the ISE5/2 didn’t spin to 1600. Did Vestel ever remedy that? I had a few machines that had OOB faults that were difficult to explain away as the loads were not badly out of balance on test. The AW23 seems better in that department; I’ve had no issue at all with them.

The machine has a variable spin selector 0-1600 so yes it should spin at different speeds if set before you start the program.

But your right Tim it did only seem to reach 1200 even set at 1600, I think it was down to load distribution and weight. Although have had no complaints from any of my customers on spin performance and I sold quite a few.

The wash and spin performance is far better on the AW23.

As Tim says the ISE5-2 will not spin at 1600 on the spin only programme. This is supposed to prevent users from over spinning items that may be damaged at high speeds.

Although the display initially shows 10 minutes it will skip about five minutes and will not spin at 1600. You will only get 1600 spin when selecting full wash programme that includes a 1600 spin.

TBH why would you want to spin anything at 1600 that you hadn’t washed on a cottons wash to start with. I rarely let my own (Hotpoint) machine spin at 1600, nearly always reduce the final spin speed to around 1200 before starting the programme.

This spin set-up is no different to the bosch exxcel range and a few other makes. If you select spin on its own they won’t spin at full speed either.

Its not a fault just how its been programmed.

You will be telling me she puts them through the wringer first next. 😀

Not actually tried it but would a rinse & spin programme give a 1600 spin speed. 😕

Rinse and spin doesn’t give 1600 spin. The only way to get the full spin speed is to do a full cotton wash.
