You have a part ordered in January from a large Southend type wholesaler then find when it doesn’t turn up its a S.O. (indesit D.W. basket wheels), and when the customer calls you for the third time you think ‘cheap part I’ll try somewhere else’ so its special order time again. This time it arrives within three weeks. Call customer with good news, to be told she’s just had the job completed by someone who got the parts straight away. I have to pay for two lots of the part in question, lose a customer and look like a complete t***er while its all down to some git not mentioning special order in the first place.
Thanks Masterpart!!!!!! 👿
I know to some of you guys it looks trivial, basket wheels, but it made a lovely end to a lovely day.
Thank you and goodnight!
It’s a PITA when that happens. The only solution is to charge the customer for the wheels, or at least the handling charge to return them (if you are able to). Trouble is though, for the price of them it’s barely worth the hassle.
I’ve been waiting a year for parts from Alba for a Hinari table top dishwasher. Fortunately, the customer saw the light after several months and we sold her a Zanussi Studio type dishwasher, so she’s happy.
However, it’s a point of principle now! If I ring to progress the order, I’m told “2 weeks”.
