My Neff U1721N0GB oven is overheating so I have ordered a replacement main oven thermostat from UK Whitegoods. The capilliary on the replacement is about 1/2 the length and 1/2 the diameter of the original. The original is attached to the oven by what looks to be a rivet. There seems to be nowhere to attach (or clip) the replacement capillary. Two questions please:
    (1) how do I remove the original capilliary without damaging the oven?
    (2) how do I attach the replacement capilliary?

Thank you so much for your help!

Discovered that what I thought was the capillary is in fact, a tube that the capilliary sits inside. Have fitted the new thermostat and it seems to be working fine! Thanks to UK Whitegoods for prompt delivery.
