    Hi
joined the forum today in desperation. I have a Hotpoint Washine machine WMF760 and Drier TCD980 both have presented problems over the last few weeks. The drier stopped mid cycle on code F25 and the machine will not drain code F05. It would appear from reading other post the filters are blocked on both appliance. We have cleaned the drier filter and managed to get it working after a week or so. however we have been unable to remove the filter for the machine which appears to be stuck although I was able to remove it about six weeks ago and removed a hairgrip. The machine currently has a load of towels inside and is full of water please help any suggestions? I’am desperate :haier:
We moved the machine today and found a large patch of rust on the floor.

Rust on the floor = Bearings gone. Pump filter jammed = Machine needs draining manually before removing the pump completely to dismantle in order the filter be extracted safely. All the fun of owning a Hotpoint…! 😀

Thanks for the reply. Total novice where machines are concerned going to drain manually as suggested and attempt to remove the pump. Machine sounds like it requires a runway if set on spin above 600. Can the bearings be replaced if we manage to get the filter removed or replaced and at what cost? Don’t want to call out Hotpoint engineer if £120+ fee could be put towards new machine.

The bearing kit can be replaced. I think there are 2 versions though. Tough challenging job for the novice….cost? No idea…..have fun!
