Customer said he first noticed the smell a couple of weeks ago, it didn’t trip the electrics as an old house with hard wire fuses,

its not just the dishwashers that Hotpoint have burn out issues with !!

I’ve had a few of these, also on Samsungs. A bit fiddly but a nice easy earner!

Yeah, i’ve had quite a few of these go like this so far this year. Its the first thing I look for now with a burning smell. I always swap the loom instead of rewiring and never been back to one.

Some early connectors only had one set of pins in each one. Considering the whole motor circuit is wired through the door lock it was not up to the job.

I believe now their are 2 sets of pins in each one to provide better contact.

I generally cut the plug off and fit spade connectors and a new lock.

be aware on current hp and indeshit stock that interlock loom is now a whole loom, and instead of a tenner about £50, and that’s at trade prices…
