Could someone please hep me, I’ve got a Jackson Canterbury (believe it to be made by Creda) built in Electric Oven that is around 14 years old I believe but I’m trying to keep it going as it’s the perfect cooker for my needs. The Grill element has failed and now the fan in the main oven has failed too (heat element stillworking though).

I’m looking to procure a replacement fan and grille element and replacing myself (I’m a fairly proficient DIYer). Do you think this is achievable and any tips (would like to avoid removing the oven from the kitchen unit if I could). Also where would I be able to get the spares for a good price? I’ve found someone that will sell me the fan for £17.99.

    Any help/advice greatly appreciated. 😉

The name covers a number of models produced over the years – the actual model number is what is required – should start 2—–.

Well looking at the instruction booklet and the cooker itself there is no code, just the name Canterbury!

Look inside the front cover where it shows a drawing or black and white photo of the oven. Somewhere on that page it will say one model number for the brown oven and one for the white version.

Some of these older ones had the model number at 6 o’clock – under the front of the appliance. Easing it forward from the casing is necessary.
