KeymasterI am trying to obtain a grill element for my mothers cooker. The only info that I have is the following.Jackson Topline Radiant Model 706.I have emailed various spares dealers and all are asking for the model code.I don’t think models from that era had anymore details on the machine.Has anyone any suggestions about getting an element.
ThanksJune 17, 2005 at 12:06 am #138658Penguin45

Jackson 706 is likely to be at least 30 years old…. Whilst there was a certain amount of cross over with the Creda takeover, any tech info will be lost or deleted by now. A photo of the offending element posted to admin@ukwhitegoods.co.uk may well produce results (power off if you are going to do this), but you do need to be honest with yourself – if you spend £20-£30 on an element now, if another goes in a few months time do you want to spend again and again?
Food for thought,
Regards,

Hmm…….. Bit of checking reveals a 49706, which has the element in two halves, rather like a large letter “J”?
Hope that helps,

Aren’t the model number details on a ‘pop-up’ metal flag at the top?

Good point – hand over the back and see if there’s a tag that’ll pop up – it’ll have all the info on it.

Thanks all for the replies. The cooker in question belongs to a couple of 80+year olds(parents)”we don’t need a new cooker at our time of life”(I wish I could get my wife into the same frame of mind!)
I will try some of the local trade suppliers armed with the element to see if I can a get one similar. If anyone has a flash of inspiration I would be grateful.

Thanks for the offer Dave
The model as quoted on the plate is as provided.I have got the element from my old man and will get a picture and send it.There are two elements in the top grill,a grill and a plate warmer along with a rotisserie, although this is from memory.
Thanks once again.
