JLP oven help

I have a john lewis oven jlbios602 which is equivalent to many others.

The oven does not cut out after reaching the correct temperature.

I have two ovens side by side so i have swapped the circuit board and the temperature probe from one to onther but still it over heats and doesnt cut off. I have to turn off at the mains to reset it.

The only thing left to try is the overheat stat but why would this stop the oven cutting out when its reached the correct temp? Its means stripping the case down to get at this so ive left until last.

The parts cataloge shoes a stir up stat but i cant see one in the oven. Im not sure what they do anyway!

Any ideas?

Hi Jules,

There’s five versions of that model, we’d need the PNC number to determine which one you have.

It sounds far more like a thermostat or sensor issue.

There are two used one for each version so it has to be correct as they are markedly different.

For the 00 version it is:

There are no other numbers.

I changed the sensor to no avail.

The resistance reading seems correct. Both ovens have the same reading.

I’m stumpped tbh.

I’m thinking there must be a connection problem (ribbon cable) or fault with the main programme board? You’ve swapped over the sensor and the power board to no effect so my conclusion is based purely on those facts only. HTH?
