JLWD 1408 (Zanussi Sigma?) Drying function kaput.

Hi, I have owned a John Lewis Washer Dryer 1408 for a few years now, but for the last year the dryer has not worked. I found the error testing method –

for Zanussi on this site which was helpful to a degree. While the panel testing took place, any light associated with the dryer flashed up orange instead of green as shown with the properly functioning washing programs. (Some pics attached.)

To carry out the test cycles I turned the program selection knob one click clockwise and the machine started to fill but then stopped and didnt do anything for 1/4 of an hour so i drained the machine thinking id try again later. During this process the LEDs on the right hand side in a vertical row were green apart from the ‘dryer’ option which was again orange.

Sorry this is a bit long winded, but if anyone could give me any clues to what i should do next would be great! Thanks in advance!

What’s the service number, PNC code on the rating plate?

Have you looked at the machine inside as a lot of things are fairly obvious in some, such as a reset thermostat?

I haven’t seen anything obvious. When you say inside, where do you mean? I cant see anything in the manual about a thermostat rest either.

Ok, so I have found out its Prod No is 91460311000, service number- 745 00017.. I have found the thermostat is a manual reset-

And I have located it in the top of the machine, but I don’t know how to reset it?

I have tested the thermostat and current does run through it so started another error test once I’d put the machine back together but the same orange LEDs relating to drying functions flash up. Have clicked the program selection dial around another click to se if it completes the test cycle this time. Fingers crossed.

It got suck again 5 mins into the error test.Not sure where to go from here? Anybody’s help would be appriciated!
