    Good evening,

I live in a flat block. I was using my washer dryer yesterday. I noticed an error message E10. Our underground car park is flooded and apparently there were people on site working the problem. After they left the block had no water.

The washer dryer is still washing clothes but when on the drying function it starts at the programmed time of 2hrs 11mins then jumps to 10mins before the end of the cycle. When finished there is no change to the damp clothes temperature so would appear not only is the heater not working but the cycle is all confused.

I bought this washer dryer in March 2020. I’ve been so pleased with it. We’ve never had any issues with it up until yesterday.

Is the water being off what has caused the E10? Or is this just a coincidence? Do I need an engineer to attend to fix the problem or is there something I can try myself to try and diagnose the problem?

Many thanks in advance for any advice that can be given.

E10 faults are water input related

Hi, thanks for your reply. Yeah I googled E10 so realise it’s water input related. As there was no water in the flat block that occurred during my machine cycle can this have triggered a fault on to the dryer cycle? The machine was in perfect working condition before. Just seems a coincidence that since the no water issue – it’s the catalyst to why I’m having problems with it now.

should not have caused a problem unless its the dryer valve

that means the wash cycles should still work

So from the information I’ve given about the dryer starting the cycle and then switching to 10 mins before the end of the cycle… do you know what the problem is? Would it be the dryer valve that needs replacing?

you can check the dryer valve coil with a multi meter. should be between 3000 to 5000 ohms approx

If it was new in March 2020 then it should still be under warranty as all John Lewis products get at least 2 years.
