ParticipantHi, not seen a JL one before, can anyone give some tips please???
this is what i had come through
We have a John Lewis JLDV02 tumble dryer which for some reason stopped mid cycle and the door was opened? It did show error code E40. The door will not close now. Is there something that needs resetting or is the door catch that is broken?
The door catch does line up but the toggle lock doesn’t stay toggled over to keep the door closed.

Don’t think a manual reset on this one. Reasons listed are
Wiring faulty. NTC sensor incorrectly calibrated/out of position. Power relay to heater unit faulty Heater unit faulty.
Electronic board faulty
Intervention of auto-reset thermostat on the heater unit.Thermostat faulty (replace heater unit). Heater unit faulty.

thanks,is actually for a relative some distance away, the door catch broke, and now runs with heat for about 10 mins before error 60 comes up, so not sure what could be happening

Sounds like airflow – check filters, I had a job a few months ago where the heater was cutting out after about 5 mins and it was caused by the filter inside the door it looked ok but it was blocked with powder – washed it under the tap and as far as I know has worked OK since
