    Hi there
Got a pretty standard fridge not cooling, freezer fine issue. I thought I’d attach a video of the noise it makes to confirm what I’m thinking w/ the fan and get anyone else’s views.

The funny thing is that the fan doesn’t work for a little while, then kicks back in again and works but is v noisy, and the fridge cools again. If anyone can watch the vid and let me know what they think that’d be great. Cheers

Sounds like the fan is hitting ice.

Empty the fridge and freezer and get someone to store your food.

Turn the complete unit off and leave the doors open for 48 hours / 2 Days to allow it to defrost.

When you turn it back on it should be ok after 2 to 4 hours.

If the problem returns in 2 to 4 weeks then you have a problem with the defrost system.

Thanks so much for your help. I did defrost it earlier and the problem returned about 2 months later- is the defrost system prob worth repairing? Thanks

It depends on the age and condition of the fridge.

You would also need to test the defrost heater and check to see if the defrost drain from the freezer is not blocked as it may be blocked not allowing the water to drain away.

I would check the drain first before replacing any parts.
