ParticipantHello,
My dishwasher is returning the error 10, water not filling.
I have checked that there is not a problem with the inlet hose and cleaned all filters. Am I correct in thinking that the problem must be with the water fill valve?
Thanks

blockage to pressure switch
faulty pressure switch.

My machine has type number 911916347. I checked inlet and drain hoses, all OK, and it seems water inlet valve operates OK – sound of water flowing in. But after 2 mins the machine stops with error 10. By this time it has pumped out the water. I see it might be one of the two pressure switches. Can these be tested, and how do you get to them? Thanks for any guidance!

could also be clogged hoses
take the lower front cover off (plug out) and check hoses for signs of build up. the pressure switches are mounted right hand side front. they are fed with air hoses which can clog

Thanks electrofix! I have taken off the lower front cover and the RH side of the machine. I can see the mount for the 2 pressure switches. Have got the mount off, not disconnected its 2 hoses, one clear, one grey opaque. Would you suggest unclipping both hoses from the pressure sw. mount and blowing down them? Or trying to get at the other ends of those hoses first?

Tried unclipping the opaque tube first – think from parts diagram this is the ‘safety’ one – and this gives no resistance to blowing. Unclipped the other tube, which could be the level sensing one and this cannot be blown down. I could apply my flexible-spring-type drain clearer gently, or apply a bicycle or foot pump … am I getting somewhere?

as long as you can blow from the switch end to make sure they are clear. also look at other small hoses, sometimes blockages in these stop the system working properly

…Tried the bicycle pump and this disgorged a piece of muck into the sump area and I gave a lot more pumping and tube then seemed clear. Connected everything back and started a 60 degree quick wash – so far 15 mins into it and all sounds normal. Previously it would always stop with fault code 10 after 2 mins. So I’m crossing my fingers but I think you got the answer right away – Absolutely Brilliant!
