Just been to one of these and changed the starter capacitor.
(Intermittant not starting, Error E54 in memory, so hoping I’m on the right track?)Anyway, whilst doing that I lubricated the drum and drive pulleys thinking that would stop the awful noise.
I then realised that the noise was coming from the front pick-up on the drum. Luckily the customer hasn’t seemed to notice the noise as its in her garage. (I should have kept quiet about it!)
Is it normal for these pick-ups to sqeaul and squeak? Is there anyway of stopping afore mentioned noise other than changing the pick-up??
