ParticipantThink I know the answer anyway but would like to run this past you members who know more about these machines than me.
What is happening is as follows: whether loaded with spun clothes or empty the tumble dryer starts turning well, no humming motor or failing capacitor delay before the machine starts turning but what does happen is that the drum revolves then will judder to a stop in 3 secs it might then restart and carry on working as if nothing has happened for 20 mins or more though the tone of the drum going round changes but it still works, then all of a sudden it`ll do the same juddering thing again and stop. I never got a f/code come up but customer said it was error 50 which points to the motor though the winding are ok and the motor bearings are fine and it does still do this with a new cap 8uf fitted.I had the drum out and had a look at the front felt for glue seizing as per the Beko problem but if it was this you`d hear the motor trying to go with a hum which it doesn`t.
