    Hi folks,
Can anyone help me out with advise on the above dryer please ?
I was called to this beast on Christmas eve after the customer complained that it had been noisy but now was not heating. On inspection I discovered the fan motor at the rear was not running. As this m/c does not use a conventional element but a heat pump I’m wondering if this will account for no heat, as I’m a novice to this system.
I’d be grateful if somebody could point me in the right direction on this.

Yes if that fans not running then it wont work . Not cheap though and as that fan has a starting capacitor (rated at 5mf) it might be worth checking that first.

Thanks Captain, I’ll bear in mind what you say about the cap but as she complained about the dryer being noisy first I’m thinking the motor may well have gone west.
