Wanting the biggest drying capacity affordable, I have bought this machine brand new today and even though I really like it the pump noise is very loud! I can put up with it cutting in and out as usual, but I’ve just dried a load and the pump was on constantly throughout for the entire hour and a half, thumping through the house. Considering the price I paid I really thought better of such an expensive brand ( I know these are made by AEG). Does anyone know if a universal pump (Askoll?) would be quieter as if so I’m considering getting one and swapping it! I really don’t want to do this to a new machine but I’ve never heard a machine pump so loud. I read up a lot about this machine before purchasing and some reviews did say the same but more actually said they didn’t thInk it was noisy at all. Will it die down in time?
Any advice much appreciated.

A Zanussi, Porcia factory product if my information is correct.
Electrolux bought Zanussi in 1984 and the domestic appliances division of AEG in 1994, so many brands are now made under the same roof. The German AEG factory closed around 10 years ago I believe.
