Sadly the sealed drum and low price coupled with high cost of repairs is the norm these days.:( My fellow moderator Don has a retail business so would be better able to answer your questions. A guide to your budget and expected usage would be a help.;)
The best case I can come up with is the Bosch WAN28201GB. While this doesn’t have the dreaded sealed drum unit you can replace the back half of the tub which has the bearings already fitted. Trouble is the cost of this and the labour to complete the job would not be cost effective I’m afraid.
Miele washing machines ( the models I have checked) you can replace the bearings however the cost of the parts will not be cheap.
early machines do not have a sealed tub later ones do so it depends on when its made. need PNC number to be certain or take the top off and see if tub halves have bolts holding them together
