Our washing machine was on when our power tripped out. I reset the main breaker and i think it’s damaged the motor.
the machine appears to work but when the drum tries to spin it looks as though the motor is jammed. The and motor and drum both spin freely by hand.
I took the back off and and was spinning the drum by hand but when the motor turned on it just stopped as if jammed.

    Is the motor blown?

    cheers

Thanks for the confirmation. looks like around £100. Motors down in bottom corner would I be ok tipping the machine on its side to get at it or would that possibly break the shock absorbers due to the weight?

that may not work as it look like it has a solid bottom

take the rear cover off and you will need extension sockets to get at rear bolts

    Thanks for the reply.
I had a peek yesterday. It’s bottom right corner. Wasn’t sure if there were bolts at the back. Will try find diagrams.

    thanks for the advice
