Re: above washing machine display dead.

I deduced that the display module was faulty, and renewed it as the machine would not switch on.

Using my non contact voltage tester, I found that power was getting to the display module, and that the two wiring multi plugs are fine, so reckoned on a faulty display module.

However, having renewed the above module, the m/c will still not power up!

So, do I now expect a faulty main control module?

it does sound likely

was machine completely dead ie is it a board power supply fault ?

The fault is the power pcb at the back or a low insulation on the wash element.
