My Neff dishwasher (3 yrs old) packed up in mid December with the drain pump being on all the time. Contacted Neff, they gave me 3 different numbers and said get an engineer – no engineers in the area I live.
I live in the far north of Scotland and no-one seems to repair dishwashers !!! There is a business opportunity for someone.
Having got Christmas over and getting a bit sick of poor washing/drying from my current “manual” dishwasher 😈 I was about to buy a new one…
This morning I came across this website, read other people had had similar faults and read about the float switch in the base – isolated it, took it apart and….no water…but a mouse had got inside and eaten part of the polystyrene base under the arm which actuates the microswitch (floatswitch system), cleaned up the bits and the er..mouse poo…and it works! Checked all the wiring and that was fine.
So….thanks….good forum…its made me very happy, and saved me a lot of money

😀 rodent problem sorted quickly thanks to a resident jack russell with big teeth an a couple of traps…but thanks for the offer!
