Hey we have had a hotpoint wm53 for about 8 going on 9 years it has served us well but is a bit basic, noisy and jumps around when spinning. We were thinking of getting a new machine before this one conks out as it probably will sometime soon. I have looked at the what you recommend page but it seems a bit out of date as some of the links dont work. We have about £400 to spend and was thinking about a bosch or an aeg, the aeg models look good as they have a low noise rating, just wondered if there are any models you would recommend, we could push the budget to £450 if needed. Btw there are two of us and we use the machine about 4-5 times a week.

    Cheers

The AEG is a Zanussi under the skin, Bosch is OK at that price. A large number of manufacturers are now using sealed drums in their machines, to be avoided if possible.

    The dreaded Sealed drum

THE ISE 5 comes in at around £450 from a local agent and includes a full five year warranty on parts and labour and it is very quiet having a brushless motor.
