Kenwood CK404 – help required with fault diagnosis

The smaller oven, the conventional one, has stopped working – the selector knob/switch only turns on the oven light. Trying to turn the oven on or the grill results in nothing happening.
The information I’ve read is confusing – is it the oven function selector switch or the oven thermostat?
I’d really appreciate your considered opinions.

well to be honest it could be either as both controls need to work for it to function
