    last week the electric element in the smaller oven set on fire and a small piece exploded onto the bottom of the oven of fire, the flame went out quickly with no other damage but was very scary. Has anyone heard of this before, its out of warranty but seems like it might be a manufacturing fault? Had a really bad experience speaking to Kenwood customer services, told I was time wasting speaking to them as I should deal with Currys who make them. Currys told me they didn’t!!

    Elements do do this on occasion, there’s no real reason why, they just fail and cause a short.

    Nothing really to worry about (apart from replacing the element if you haven’t already) 🙂
