    Hi guys.

Got a Kenwood KSBSB15 fridge freezer and starting to have coldness issues.

Started the odd beeping then continued onto lots of random beepings lasting about 10 seconds or so.

Compressor seems to be operating ok but I have put it into super cool mode after the food was starting to defrost.

Super cool is supposed to be -25 but it certainly doesn’t feel like it.

Does anyone have manuals for this FF or advice please? Based in Leigh on sea, essex for any engineers that would need to visit.

    Thanks

first thing to try on all modern fridge freezers is a complete defrost. switch off, doors open for 2 days

    Hi Dave.

Just seen this. Will try that first. Would it possibly be a temp sensor? Stopped doing it and it’s been ok, just starting up again.

    Thanks

if it was a sensor I cant see it going ok and going faulty again sensors normally fail and have to be replaced

    Dave

Ok appreciated. Must be something electronic or possible door seals.

    Thanks again

if doors seals were faulty you would have more ice and snow then the north pole

electronics is possible as the build quality of Kenwood is not that good

On those, the fan motor is a prime suspect. 😉

If you need one, it’s this one:

Thanks guys. Ok so narrowing it down lol not many electronic components apart from pcb really that’s nothing too major.

Kwatt the fan motor seems to kick in well but if that was not working correctly and pushing the cold temps about would that make it bleep?

    Thanks

    Re: Kenwood FF

If it’s air driven and the air doesn’t flow, it won’t cool correctly, you’ll erratic temperatures at times and perhaps a big block of ice where you can’t see. All in all, not a lot of fun stuff.

I just know that on those units, among others, those cause problems and are common so, worth checking.
