Kenwood Fridge Freezer constant beeping noise

Bought Kenwood American style fridge/freezer 6 years ago. Model KSBSX17. When both doors are closed it’s making intermittent beeping sound that you normally get if you were to leave one of the doors open for long time. Also the digital display panel in freezer door is now lit up constantly – it’s supposed to go off after you’ve closed the doors after about a minute. Tried pressing both the inside catches on fridge and freezer that turn the internal lights off – still beeps.
I’m told that Kenwood spare parts are difficult to obtain.

That sounds like it could be a problem with the harness in the door but I don’t think you can get it so seeing if it is busted and trying to repair it is likely the only option you’ll have.
