I have moved into a house recently and have acquired a:
    Kenwood KDW 24F1 / B dishwasher.
All was going well until today, after setting the program and shutting the door as normal there was a strange clicking noise coming from the front door which I presume is something to do with the soap dispenser as the soap tablet had been ejected into the cleaning space and the soap door was open, also the end of cycle alarm keeps going off after only about one minute with out the water coming on. I have tried different programmes with the same result.
    Can anybody help?
    :hmm:

The endemic fault with these Chinese-built dishwashers is the base under the machine flooding, which will abort/prevent programmes starting. Solenoid clacking may suggest problems with the electronics.

    Power off if investigating.

Thanks for the advice checked out the base of the machine for water but all seemed OK and as if by magic its started working again looks to me like dodgy solenoid as you did suggest. Hopefully it will last a little longer if not it sounds to me like Bosch is the way forward!
    Cheers
