Water level control issues are rife on these machines. It’s Chinese and it’s a bad copy of an elderly, poor quality Indesit appliance. You can repair it and make it work (If you want to – I wouldn’t spend money on one, myself.), but you can’t make it better.
If you think you have to keep it, there are a few does and don’ts.
1/ Do not use multifunction tablets in the machine. Use powder or a low-froth detergent like Fairy Bursts and separate salt and rinse aid.
2/ Once the machine is running, under no circumstances open the door – the water level control will go haywire.
3/ Start saving for a better appliance – it will go wrong again, probably just after Christmas Dinner.
