Kenwood Microwave with Grill facility

Can some kindly confirm that when I use this appliance just in Grill mode, the Microwave part of the oven is not operational.

Reason I’m asking is, to use the grill I need to put the food on something metal to withstand the heat of the quartz grill. A large metal object would presumably not be good to place inside the oven if it’s operating in Microwave mode.

unless it has a combination facility then grill means only grill. you can soon find out, put a cup of water in there for 2 mins. if microwave was on it would be hot, if grill only is on it may feel warn at the top but that all
