    Hi there,
Can someone please tell me if it’s the top hob panel or rear panel of the Kenwood (CK446) that needs to be removed to access the rear of the oven lamp socket?

In short, I tried to replace the bulb and the whole socket ended up spinning round. Further investigation shows the wires came off.

The bulb is located on the top surface of the oven in the far left hand corner.

    Hope you can help.

Sounds like it could be both that need to come off but often you’ll be able to get to it without lifting the hob, just depends how it’s spaced really.

    Thank you for the reply.
Just out of curiosity, can the hob panel be removed without pulling the oven out? Or do you need access to the back? I’m trying not to move the range.

I don’t think you’ll get away with not pulling it out to do that in any event.
