Kenwood Slimline dishwasher (kdw8sta) error code E3

Can somebody please help me, i have a problem with a Kenwood kdw8sta dishwasher. It is only 15 months old and started to come up with error code E3 which points to the thermostat or heating element being faulty. So i decided to take a gamble and replace both, but to no avail the fault must be elsewhere. Here is what the dishwasher does :-
It starts its cycle normally and then after about 30mins the countdown timer will pause for quite some time before the error code is displayed (i have opened the door at the point where the timer stops and there is water in there but no heat). I have looked for an answer on the web and found people with the same problem but no answer??????????

15 months is about the expected lifespan of these machines. :rolls:

If you use the forum search facility and enter Kenwood AND dishwasher in that exact format you will get plenty of reading, one thread does mention E3. Its not very pleasant reading though. 😥

Chinese tat. Don’t spend money on it, you’ll end up (as you have found out) spending more. If you’ve replaced the element and the thermostat, there’s only the pcb left.

Do yourself a favour and buy something decent.

Thanks for the replys guys 😀 , thought as much never going to buy kenwood again 😥 . Got my eye on a bosch srs45e38gb which to be honest is not much more price wise 😉 .
