    Hi there,

    I have one of the above fr/fr’s which is now 7 years old.

    Recently, I have noticed a layer of ice underneath the bottom drawer in the freezer section. It seems to have dripped down along the back section and the frozen underneath the box.

    I can easily break this up, but it reforms again.

    I noticed a recent post regarding the frequency with which the door is expected to be opened daily, and I was wondering does the same apply here.

    hi

    this problem is normally caused by the drain hole for the automatic defrost being blocked and thus not allowing the water to drain away.
    as this requires the back panels to be removed I have to advise an engineer visit.
    Have a look in repairs to see if there is an engineer near you.
