There is a new link in the links section to a UK site that sells Kirby spares to the public. I decided to be cheeky and email them about some motor brushes not listed on the site. It turns out that the guy who runs it is pretty helpfull and gave me a link I can purchase them from him. As he said, due to Kirby’s restrictive practice he can’t adverise or sell ‘repair parts’ to the public.

So if you need anything, just mail him and he will sort it out for you 😀

No trade discount though 😥 I asked him that as well 😉

In reply to my own post, don’t use this guy, I ordered some spares from him, a mains lead and a set of carbon brushes (special, in holders) paid the full Kirby retail price and got a Qualtex pattern lead that is poor quality and a set of carbons with no holders, the right size, but at a tenner a pair, I think not somehow.

    Some people eh 😈

    Link deleted 🙂

    😳 Sorry !

    http://www.kirbyownersclub.fsnet.co.uk/ukchoice.html

It’s meant for the public, so he’s ripping them off as well by supplying pattern spares at genuine prices ! Even though the parts are not described as genuine, the way they are sold would lead you to believe that to be the case.
